Bridge & Xander's Quarters [Newtech City, 2023]

So, the Carson household (to use the term loosely, since it's definitely not a house and not really even an apartment to be honest) is now officially one with dual-income, no kids. Well, unless the new-and-improved, now-in-more-locations-than-ever-before Fandom weirdness struck again the way it did a couple of days ago.

Part of Bridge is actually kind of disappointed it skipped him. Not that he's gonna admit that.

"I miss having space," he comments randomly. Of course, his dorm room hadn't been bigger than their present quarters... but then, he'd practically moved out of the dorms in all but name only long before he'd actually left Fandom.

"Is there something you're not telling me?"

"No! I mean, there could be something. But I can't tell you about it because I don't know what that something is. Or if it is anything at all. It could be nothing. It's just, I've heard that there was maybe something. Only that something isn't, really, you know, *my* kind of thing, so I didn't exactly try and find out if that something was anything at all. So as far as I'm concerned there's nothing," Bridge babbles.

"Right. Glad we got that straight, then," Xander snickers.

"Yes. Now we can move on to more important things. Things that definitely *do* for sure exist. Like you, and me, and you saying something about getting lucky?"

"I already did that. Did you want me to say it again? Or just get right to the getting?"

"How about we just get right to the getting?" Bridge asks.

Xander grins. "I could get into getting got."

"First we might have to get out of the clothes," Bridge points out.

Xander raises an eyebrow and crawls along the couch towards him. "You think?"

"Uh huh. Some people say I'm actually pretty good at it. The thinking, I mean."

"Some people say you're pretty good at the clothes-getting-off too."

"Some people, huh?" Bridge says. Oh look, a Xander within groping distance. How convenient. "Like who, hmm? Because I'm pretty sure there's only the one person I've ever done the clothes-getting-off thing with, unless there's something *you're* not telling me..."

Good husbands don't remind people of certain weekends they'd rather not be reminded of and which by group agreement were spent reading really, really fascinating books. Really.

That totally doesn't count because Bridge wasn't actually Bridge!

The groping continues, now with *underneath*-Xander's-shirt action. "I'm glad you think so."

"You could refresh my memory, maybe." Xander's not so bad at the clothes-getting-off thing himself.

"I'll do my best," Bridge says, drawing back first one hand, then the other, to pull his gloves off with his teeth.

"Should I be worried that the sound of velcro unhooking turns me on now?"

"Nah," Bridge says. "I'd be more worried if it was a turn-off, because that'd kind of ruin the mood, don't you think?"

Xander says uh-huh or what was the question? or oh shut up and kiss me. Something like that. It's hard to tell; his mouth is busy.

And that's the nice thing about being psychic: Bridge gets the message anyway. Arguably, it's entirely possible he would've even without the psychicness, because the whole finding his own mouth kind of busy thing is sort of a clue.

Xander sometimes likes to be subtle like that.

Also he sometimes likes to demonstrate that the removal of clothes isn't entirely necessary for the getting of lucky, by way of fingers that find their way inside certain pantlike items as yet unremoved.

Oooh, hey, fingers, yes. Bridge completely agrees with this particular move. Not that he says so- at least, not in words. Sounds, yes. But not so much words.

Fine, yes, perhaps subtle is not entirely the name of the game here. Xander -- and his hands, and his mouth, and actually his toes have a similar opinion too -- lean towards effective being more important.
