Newtech City, 2023 [Saturday Evening]

Thanksgiving had been... well, slightly awkward, with nearly all of the hosts avoiding each other, but still good in the sense of getting to see everyone. Well, almost everyone, anyway.

But now! Now it is Xander's birthday and birthdays, of course, merit non-Synthetron food and so Bridge and Xander are going out for dinner.

"Sure we won't get arrested for gratuitous PDA?" Xander asks, already leaning across the table.

"I checked it out beforehand," Bridge says, waving a hand. "We get a pass on account of it's your birthday."

"That's really nice of our fine police force," Xander says, grinning and resting a forearm on the table for balance as he leans across. "I wonder what I can do to pay 'em back."

"Z's pretty partial to cookies," Bridge suggests innocently.

"I'll keep that in mind. What're you partial to?"

"Xanders."

"Must be your lucky day, then."

"What makes you say that?" Bridge asks.

[needsaparrot]

"I know just where you can get some of that."

"Wrong organ," Xander says. "...Not very dirty."

"I don't think we could get away with dirtiness in public," Bridge points out. "Birthday pass doesn't extend that far."

"You do know you're supposed to be kissing me now, right?" Sometimes you had to check.

"Thought you were s'posed to be kissing me," Bridge says, before leaning forward to take care of the whole 'somebody ought to be kissing somebody else at this table' issue.

"Potayto, potahto," Xander says, except for where it's completely unintelligible.
