Thursday Afternoon [Room 227]

Bridge was sprawled on his bed, notebook open to a page of schematics, and a multitude of assorted parts scattered on the bedspread around him.

The door was propped open with a box containing the parts of a disassembled television set.

[ooc: door is openinated. but not opinionated, like i first typed. it's just a door after all.]

"Oh," Willow said. She folded the laptop up against her chest. "Sorry. I didn't mean actual dissection and I didn't know you were there and I don't mean that I would've meant it if you weren't there but it's just that Xander and demons have been really common before, like 100% of the time common unless you don't count Cordelia but if you knew Cordelia you'd know that you should. And Xander and I have been friends since we were wee little cells and I'm really really protective of him but he says he can trust you and I know that I can trust him so - " she held the laptop out "Here. Symbol."

Bridge takes the laptop and puts it down on the bed. "Protectiveness I can totally understand." He says with a nod. "And I'm trustable. Very much so. It sort of comes with the territory."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
"The territory... of being Xander's boyfriend?" Willow asked. "Not that I disagree or anything."

[identity profile] bridge-carson.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, more the territory of being me." Bridge admits. "I have these- um, I'm psychic. Well, and also training to be a cop but, yes."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Xander told me about the psychic," Willow said. She glanced towards the open door and lowered her voice for privacy. "He said you could be trusted with secrets."

[identity profile] bridge-carson.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
"Absolutely." Bridge says solemnly. "Well, except when things are my fault. I sort of suck at keeping secrets then."

"I make cookies," Willow said. "Keeps you busy, and everybody likes them."

[identity profile] bridge-carson.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
"I tried that once. The batter got all stuck to my gloves."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
"We could try making them together sometime," Willow offered. "No pre-guilt necessary."

[identity profile] bridge-carson.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Okay!" Bridge grins. "That sounds like a plan."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
Willow smiled back. "Okay, I'll go. Only don't touch anything that's password protected and don't change my settings or drink coffee near it or bend the monitor back so far that it creaks."

Willow said the last bit in a rush, making it all come out in a single breath. She offered an apologetic look. "Sorry. Had to."

[identity profile] bridge-carson.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
"Don't worry. I wouldn't do any of that!" Bridge says seriously.

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
"I'd be the same if you were borrowing my books," Willow said. "Or were somebody else. It's not a Xander's boyfriend thing."

[identity profile] bridge-carson.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
"No, I get that." Bridge nods. "I... am pretty much the same way, with my stuff. Which is why I wouldn't do anything to anyone else's things that I wouldn't want done to mine."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
"Appreciated," Willow said. "And if you ever want a computery or magicy favor in return - "

She shrugged, letting the sentence fill in itself. Then she gave a wave as she turned to go.

[identity profile] bridge-carson.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
"Later, then!" Bridge replies with a wave of his own.
