Pangolin A3 [Monday Afternoon]

After moving his stuff over from 227, and hanging out with his cabinmates in the common room, Bridge is currently sprawled on his bed, the curtain pulled back, and is writing in a notebook. Every once and a while, he absently tosses a ball down the cabin hallway for RIC.

[ooc: open, but responses may be slowish for a while]

Even robot dogs like getting pats on the head.

"Actually, he, uh... for some reason, he doesn't bark. He'll make just about any other kind of animal noise, though."

"Huh," Willow said. She looked at RIC thoughtfully. "Problem with his programming?"

"I think it might just be a personality thing," Bridge offers with a shrug. "I've updated his programming a few times, and I've never found anything that'd indicate it's a glitch."

"You're as individual as a cupcake, then," Willow told RIC proudly. After the day she'd had, this statement was not as surreal as it sounded. At least to her.

Bridge beams at Willow. "I'm glad you like him."

"He's very cute." Willow stood up again. She then looked at her computer worriedly. "So. Um. Is it okay?"

"Yup!" Bridge nods. "The new buttons on the side there," he points, "are for Skittles, or M&Ms. It should also run faster now- I swapped out a couple parts with stuff I'd brought from home."

"Ooo - faster! Faster is good. Also candy, which is very useful." Then, remembering Tyler's warning, she glanced around the top of the monitor. "Um. Could you... turn it on for me? To show me the fastness?"

Bridge boots up the laptop.

It does not explode.

Willow does not show a huge look of relief at the non-explosion.

She sighs in relief. That's totally different.

"Everything check out?" Bridge asks.

"Looks like," Willow said. She reached to take the computer back from him. "Thanks for the upgrades. And for not being a jerk to Xander."

"You're welcome," Bridge hands the computer back. "The first was no trouble at all, and non-jerky is pretty much my default setting."

Re: After Z

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Willow hugged the computer to her chest. Not just holding it, she was actually hugging it. "Hi, baby. I missed you!"

Oh, yeah. Other person in the room.

"Non-jerky is good. I approve." Willow gave him a smile. "And I should go. My Xander hasn't heard from me in days. I should let him know I haven't been eaten by squid."

"That's probably a good idea. I'll see you around, then?"

"You bet," Willow said. "Bye, Bridge! Bye, RIC!"
