Pangolin A3 [Monday Afternoon]

After moving his stuff over from 227, and hanging out with his cabinmates in the common room, Bridge is currently sprawled on his bed, the curtain pulled back, and is writing in a notebook. Every once and a while, he absently tosses a ball down the cabin hallway for RIC.

Z stood outside of Bridge's alcove--SPD cadets should never enter another's quarters without permission, she remembered--and said, "Hey, Bridge."

Bridge looks up. "Hey, Z! Come on in," he says, closing the notebook and sitting up. "Have a seat, if you want." He adds, waving at the bed.

Z sat down at the end of the bed and took a deep breath before saying, "Has Commander Cruger talked to you lately?"

"No," Bridge says, and shakes his head. "Why? What's up?"

"Well, there's something you need to know and I'd really rather be the one to tell you--I got arrested. That's why I'm here."

"Arrested?" Bridge frowns. "But..." he flails a little.

"SPD pulled me and Jack in for stealing. We were trying to help people," she added quickly. "And, Commander Cruger said was this or those card thingies, so I chose this."

"And Jack... didn't?" Bridge says, still frowning a little.

"No, because Jack is kind of a moron sometimes."

After Z

She was not jonesing for her computer, she was not jonesing for her computer. She was just very eager to make nice with Xander's boyfriend again and this just so happened to involve getting her computer back.

With this mantra firmly in place, Willow went to see Bridge.

"Hey," Bridge says with a wave, putting the notebook aside once again.

"Hey," Willow waved back. "I came to pick up my baby."

"It's uh..." Bridge blinks, and looks around for a second. "RIC? Laptop." A few seconds later, RIC came trotting out from under the bed, pushing Willow's laptop gently with his nose. Bridge picks it up and hands it over. "Sorry," he offers apologetically. "I think he was, um. Talking to it."

"Yeah," Bridge says. "Well, I mean, he's technically SPD property, but they let me borrow him."

Willow went to thwap Bridge on the arm. "Say robot dog first, doofus! This sort of thing gets you years ahead as far as impressing me enough to earn quality time and/or personal information about Xander!"

"Oh," Bridge says, and blinks. "Well, there was..." he flails, "and yeah. I just didn't, um, think to mention it."

Xander eyes the alcove curtain with amusement at himself, because even though he's got one of his own, he was totally about to knock on it. Instead, he taps on the wall, which might work a little better. "Hey."

"Hi!" Bridge looks up and grins. "How's your first day of cabin life so far?"

"Not bad. I snagged the alcove across from Cal; she and V are the only ones of my roomies I've seen so far today."

"Cool," Bridge says. "I found out who's in the other half of this cabin. Only one of whom is someone I hadn't yet met."

"Yeah? Who?" Xander glances back over his shoulder with interest. "Just when you think we ran out of new faces..."

Bridge ticks them off on his fingers, "Liz, Janet, the dude, and the new girl is Tempe."

Xander snickers at 'the dude' - he's got kind of a bet going with himself on how long he can go without asking what the hell that's about. He's at months, so far...

"Well, the others I know; what's the new girl like?"

Bridge shrugs. "Nice. Kind of quiet, though. Which is understandable enough, moving into the dorms one day and then a cabin full of seven strangers the next."

He leans back on the bed and looks up at Xander. "Anyway. Guess what else I did today?" he asks, totally innocently.
