Room 121 [Thursday Night]

Even though he hadn't been the one saying goodbye to everyone, the day had still been kind of tiring, from an emotional point of view. The fashion show in the fifth floor common room had provided an... interesting change of pace, at least.

But now it was much later, and the door was closed and it was just the two of them.

Xander sits on the bed, fiddling with a comic book that clearly goes into the almost-packed trunk, and looking a little... something. Windblown. Lost. Maybe just exhausted.

"Anakin was right," he says thoughtfully.

"About?" Bridge asks, scooting closer and putting one arm around Xander's waist.

"He said all the people stopping by...hurts." Beyond the telling of it is what he said, but it's not. Quite. Because here he is, telling.

"Yeah," Bridge says. "I mean, they weren't even saying goodbye to *me* and it still..." he trails off.

Xander glances at Bridge. "Sorry."

He is; Bridge was there through all that, mostly quiet, and Xander really doesn't know what he'd have done if Bridge hadn't been, but seeing him unhappy is like the aftermath of a hard punch, dull and aching. It always has been.

"Don't be," Bridge says. "I wouldn't trade one second with you for anything."

That hurts too, of course, but it all does right now. The better it is, the harder it is to think about letting go, and this is the best part, so of course it's the hardest. "Same here." Xander pulls him closer.

And Bridge is quiet for a moment, just enjoying the contact, but eventually he tilts his head up and moves in to kiss Xander.

It's slow and soft, and a little frustrating because Xander wants to keep it that way, make it last as long as he can, and he also wants to push for more, but he can't do both. Stupid physics.

Bridge is still holding on to Xander with one arm, the other sliding downward and scrambling to undo the zipper to Xander's jeans.

See, that works. Xander can do the slow, and Bridge can do the more.

Well, no, he can't really do the slow, not when Bridge is doing what Bridge is doing, but he's still trying. Stupid biology.

And stupid... not being able to make clothing spontaneously disappear, as Bridge is now reluctantly breaking off the kiss so that he can get rid of his.

Actually Xander's pretty good with watching the clothing disappear piece by piece, though admittedly if he could do that and kiss at the same time it'd be keen.

Well that's one half of the clothing problem solved. Bridge then goes back to work on getting rid of *Xander's* clothes, now.

Y'know, the boxers would probably have been easier to get rid of before the striptease. Though they eventually do slide off.

And now that clothes are no longer an obstacle, Bridge gets back to work on the important stuff. Like kissing, for starters.

Xander's tired, bone-tired even, not dirty except in context, but he's got the energy for this. Maybe because it's almost crazymaking slow, his hands on the sides of Bridge's face, thumbs gently sliding into his hair like it's possible to make it fluff out any more.

"Mmmm," Bridge says, which is Bridge for "please to be doing that thing with your tongue now".

It's a little-known fact (known to, um, Bridge, Xander, and...possibly Cordelia but anyway) that 'That Thing With Your Tongue' actually comprises 5 small, separate 'Things With Your Tongue' that can be combined in approximately 417.7 different ways. (The .7 comes in when alcohol or heightened arousal due to extreme terror is involved, so we can probably round it off on this occasion.)

Which, judging by the happy noise Bridge makes in response, was exactly the right choice for this particular moment in time.

And somewhere, in the part of his brain that's still capable of coherent thought, the tiniest little spark of an idea starts to form.

"Is good?" Xander murmurs, though he's not really unsure of the answer. It's just reflex, more a way of asking more of this or something else?

"Very," Bridge says. "Very, very good. M'thinkin, though..." he adds, and then trails off, uncertain.

"Clearly I'm doing something wrong, then," Xander starts to say, but he stops after "Cl--" and just says, "Yeah?"

"Would you... do something for me? Maybe?" Bridge asks hesitantly.

Xander blinks at him. It's kind of not fair to make him try to operate his brain on such a limited oxygen supply.

"You're asking?"
