Room 121 [Thursday Night]

Even though he hadn't been the one saying goodbye to everyone, the day had still been kind of tiring, from an emotional point of view. The fashion show in the fifth floor common room had provided an... interesting change of pace, at least.

But now it was much later, and the door was closed and it was just the two of them.

"And I appreciate the advance notice," Xander says, nodding and tightening an arm around him.

"Glad to oblige," Bridge says, content to just *be*, for now.

And Xander is too - well, and also to breathe, because oxygen = nice. To homo sapiens anyhow.

Well, he's mostly content with that - there's also the part where he kind of doesn't ever want to let go, but he can trick that part into thinking he won't, for a little while, by holding on tighter now.

"S'nice," Bridge says with a sleepy sigh, tracing random patterns on Xander's skin with the fingers of one hand.

"Yeah," Xander says, then, "Love you." Then... "Which you kinda knew." His fingers skate across Bridge's bare ones.

"Yep," Bridge says, doing his best to memorise the sound of those words, the feel of the emotion that accompanies them, and the bright orange beacon that Xander's aura is to him. "Doesn't mean I don't like hearing it out loud, though."

Not surprisingly, Xander's thoughts aren't all that different, minus the parts where he's not psychic. You really don't need to be, though, to pick up what Bridge is feeling, when it's right there in his voice, on his face.

Xander bends his head to press a kiss to Bridge's shoulder, and murmurs, "Love you," again.

"Love you too, you know," Bridge says in a whisper.

"I...do, yeah." And Xander feels... a tiny bit guilty about how much that still knocks the breath out of him, because he knows Bridge isn't the first person to love him like that. But he's the first person Xander ever loved back in the same way.
