Even though he hadn't been the one saying goodbye to everyone, the day had still been kind of tiring, from an emotional point of view. The fashion show in the fifth floor common room had provided an... interesting change of pace, at least.

But now it was much later, and the door was closed and it was just the two of them.

"Well, plus I think there's a rule that fort roofs are supposed to be made from sheets," Bridge points out.

"We might have to put the jacuzzi in the basement, then."

"I think that's an acceptable compromise." Bridge says. "Of course, really, the fort doesn't actually need a jacuzzi to be the best ever. Just needs you."

"No, I'm pretty sure a fort with just me in it would be boring as hell," Xander counters.

Bridge rolls his eyes. "I was talking about *my* hypothetical best-ever fort. So the part where I'm in there too is kind of implied."

"Ah. In which case obviously there's also toast."

Xander rolls his eyes. "No. No butter allowed in the fort. All toast must be eaten dry."

"Could be." Xander really really doesn't want to look at the clock to find out if that's true.

"We have time," Bridge says quietly.

"To build the fort, or just for the dirty?" Xander's already sliding his hand down Bridge's side, though, and the rest of himself a little further down the bed, even as he asks.

"The dirty," says Bridge. And okay, he can't *actually* see the clock, but he's pretty sure about the having time thing.

"Hrrm. Fort or dirty. Fort or dirty." Arguably there could be both, if they hide under the sheets. Or maybe just Xander will, while he gets started on the dirty.

"Good to see you-" short pause while Bridge shifts position slightly, "-agree."

It occurs to Xander that actually voicing his agreement could have interesting results in his current position, even if it'd be completely unintelligible. So he does.
