After closing up the library for the day, Bridge heads over to Xander's on a mission. A mission to cook a dinner that would not involve any replicating of food. Well, okay, maybe a little replicating. If there was no other option. Because it's the 13th and that's usually anniversary-day but this month it's also Rosh Hashannah, but that kind of works out nicely since there's no one else in Fandom Bridge would rather spend tonight with anyway.

"You can't just say things like that!" Bridge might be flailing a little now.

Really, Xander ought to know better. "Well at least I said it now, when we've got plenty of cake," he points out.

"I am not having a demon invasion during holiday dinner," Bridge says firmly, glaring out the dining room window as if that will make any potential attacking demons stop and reconsider.

"I hope that works better here than it used to in Sunnydale," Xander says, thinking of a certain Thanksgiving dinner.

Aaaaand now Bridge is back to looking worried. "Seriously?"

"Well, there was the Thanksgiving we got invaded by Chumash ghosts, and the birthday with the arm in the box..."

"Yeah, but... Hellmouth! If anything, Fandom's on more of a... Weirdmouth," Bridge says, still giving the window the occasional suspicious glance as he fills up Xander's plate and then hands it over.

"Weirdmouth - I like that." Xander takes a bite of chicken, then grins. "...Can I keep you?"

"Consider me kept," Bridge beams back at Xander.

"Can we keep the chicken too?" Xander takes another bite. "Not this exact chicken; that would be bad. But conceptually. A conceptual chicken."

"There can be conceptual chicken," Bridge agrees. "To go with the conceptional marshmallow fights."

"Okay, but no conceptual chicken fights. Too greasy."

"Ewwww," Bridge makes a face at that. "No, the conceptual chicken is just for eating."

"...Other people don't have conversations about conceptual chicken, do they."

"Maybe," Bridge admits. "But I don't want to be here with other people. I want to be here with *you*."

"Good, because I'm not sharing my chicken."

"Not even with me?" Bridge ignores his own fully-loaded plate in order to attempt to snag a bite of Xander's.

"Well, yeah, but that doesn't really count. You're mine, so it's not so much sharing, just re-distributing." Like many things he says, it exits his mouth without really checking in with his brain for permission.

"So I'm kept *and* I'm yours, huh?" Bridge asks with a grin. "I like the sound of that."

Xander kind of does too, though the combination of words makes him glance down at his plate and flush slightly. "Not like in the 'needs a collar' sense, though."

"Uh," now Bridge's expression pretty much matches Xander's. "Yeah, no."

"Maybe a little nametag that says 'If found, please return to Xander Harris?' "

"Only if you've got a matching one with *my* name on it," Bridge replies.

"....Where would I be wearing this? Hypothetically?"

"Hypothetically?" Bridge echoes. "Maybe, I don't know, on a chain or a cord or something?" he reaches out to trace a line from Xander's neck and down his chest, stopping right by his heart. "Here?"
