The weekend had been fun, but Bridge was definitely glad when Monday morning had rolled around and Xander had woken up back to normal. And after a day of working on a construction project that was definitely *not* a sandcastle, it's now time for just hanging out and relaxing.

"I think possibly you've used up your sugar quota for like, a month, all in one weekend," Bridge says to Xander as he flops on to the couch.

Bridge groans. "...I'd managed to forget about the strippers part."

"Awwww, Bridge. Trust me. Like I told Xander's tiny counterpart, friends protect friends." She grinned. "We won't let the strippers drag you into the surf. And that's just the beginning of the fun."

Bridge just groans again and slides down the couch until he's lying down. "Is now a good time to mention that one of the new girls asked me to be her boyfriend today?" he says, before covering his face with a pillow.

"Do what now?" Xander pokes at the pillow. "I thought you weren't into threesomes!"

"Really, really not!" Bridge says, his voice somewhat muffled by the pillow. "But it's just, we were comparing mecha, and then she just- she just *asked*. Just like that."

"...Is 'comparing mecha' the new scrapbooking?"

"Hey! Tell New Girl to step off! If there's any threesoming here, I've got dibs!" Parker protested. "And you know it wasn't, Xander, but Bridge. My man. You have to use your powers for good. The awesome power of whatever-that-is can't be used on random girls. They have no resistance."

"If it was, I'd like to think you would have noticed, given how you were standing not that far away," Bridge points out to Xander, trying to ignore the fact that Parker may have just kind of volunteered for a threesome or something.

"Maybe not, if it was secret mecha-comparing of the FUTURE," Xander points out. Whatever a mecha is. He's just having fun winding Bridge up now.

"There was no- it's *not*-" Bridge sighs. "And I signed up for a lifetime of this."

"Nah, not yet - you just applied. You can always pretend the marriage license got lost in the mail..."

"That might work," Bridge admits, peeking out from under the pillow a bit. "If there were just one marriage license to worry about. Well, and if I actually had any interest in cancelling, which I really, really, really don't."

"Let's just stick with hoping Willow's still got the clicky-clack mojo and some pencil pusher or three doesn't notice I don't exist or you're three, depending which marriage license we're trying to push through."

"If they do, Isabel and I can probably handle it. And there won't be any shoe-throwing unless it's direly necessary," Parker said, grinning at their silliness. "This is your wedding. You guys are not allowed to stress about it at all. Or the bachelor party. We've got them covered."

"The reception and the bachelor party! Them." And okay, maybe she'd meant a bunch of male strippers too. No need to get specific at this point. "It'll be fine, now that I have a day to work with, and we'll just hold the party at the hotel. Sound good?"

Funny how Sound good? sounds a lot like Be afraid. Be very afraid.

"I reserve the right to grab Bridge and carry him off into the ocean if I see the band getting handsy. Just sayin'."
