Echolls Estate [Saturday Evening]

The ballroom of the mansion is done up in the same mostly-green colour scheme as the wedding ceremony. There's no assigned seating- unless you're in the wedding party, and then you're at the head table (unless you felt like moving around, of course, because gluing people to their seats was not part of the plan)- just several small tables around the room. Off to the side there's also a table meant for wedding gifts. There is, of course, plenty of food and drink, including the most important food-item of them all: the cake Piper had crafted exactly to Xander and Bridge's specifications.

"That's so cool," Chris says. Cause, yeah, he's got a bit of a romantic streak.

Well not like Angel could resist that. He hugged her back. "How's it going? FBI give you a job yet?"

"Why do people keep saying we should get married?" Logan sighed.

A bratty seven-year-old with magic markers that could *actually do magic*. "Yeah, it all worked out in the end."

"Really?"

It was sad how much he perked up at that.

"Maybe. I still have two years of college left, so we'll see what happens," she said. "No more Air Force for you?"

Anders wandered down from the head table to sneak a kiss, and maybe steal some food off Bel's plate. Likewise, he looked incredibly grateful about the air conditioning.

Veronica shrugged. "I don't know. Dick and I aren't even really dating, so what makes you think we should?"

"They kind of want me to graduate from college first," Veronica said. "But it was a great experience."

"I don't," Logan said. "The idea is horrifying. But also greatly amusing."

"So, uh. You guys keeping busy up the coast?" This was a little awkward, but Anders didn't want to just wander off.

"Now I understand why you had to work out to prep for the wedding," Bel smirked, feeding Anders a piece of meat.

Not dirty.

"I might need to get her to plan when it's our turn," Angela decided, then clapped a hand over her mouth. "...Not that I'm planning completely in advance of, like, a real proposal."

"Shows what they know," Angel said. "You're good enough right now."

"Amusing to you," Veronica said, rolling her eyes. "How's life in LA?"

"Yep."

It was such a mistake to rely on Angel to make small talk.

"Remind me to ask you for a letter of recommendation when I start job hunting."

Yet.

"Six of them, one of me," Anders said with a melodramatic shrug. "What are you gonna do?"

"Very likely," Logan said. "Of course, it'll show the same game over and over, but no one will notice."

"No," he shook his head and glanced away for a moment as if he was checking something. "Not for the moment."

"Oh."

She had no idea what to say to that considering she knew that it would take something major to make Cameron give up that dream.

Dawn frowned. "Getting yourselves dead is against the rules."

"Hot and dry with a strong chance of demon attacks," Logan said. "How's Neptune?"

"Absolutely," Angel said. "I'd sure as hell hire you if I was them."

"Cool."

Really kinda was.

"Wish I had something to keep busy, 'stead of hanging around the apartment all day like a bum until school starts."
