Echolls Estate [Saturday Evening]

The ballroom of the mansion is done up in the same mostly-green colour scheme as the wedding ceremony. There's no assigned seating- unless you're in the wedding party, and then you're at the head table (unless you felt like moving around, of course, because gluing people to their seats was not part of the plan)- just several small tables around the room. Off to the side there's also a table meant for wedding gifts. There is, of course, plenty of food and drink, including the most important food-item of them all: the cake Piper had crafted exactly to Xander and Bridge's specifications.

Angel had been more than willing to avoid 1) parties and 2) parties involving nice things happening to 3) Xander. But it had been made clear to him that if he avoided all gatherings this weekend there might be wooden objects in his not so distant future. So there he was. Appreciating the open bar.

Parker was both sad and gleeful that she hadn't gotten to throw shoes at anyone. But hey! Time for the celebrating with alcohol and dancing!

Harriet had been rather moved by the ceremony, and she was smiling as she and Kerrigan arrived for the second time that day. "You mentioned something about food?"

Sure, there had been that whole issue of Anders not having much in the way of money any more. That was because most of what he'd squirreled away from his job at Caritas all summer had gone toward the three wrapped packages he left on the table, with a note promising visits and hugs and a blank check for all other Best Friendly Duties attached to the first box.

Though there was one specifically marked for Xander, with a note that said I think you've finally earned one. And naturally assume the meta-change in name. Ahem.

Parker had racked, and racked, and racked her brains, then finally given up and gotten them a $1000 gift certificate to Home Depot. And a green & purple Ralph Lauren down comforter.

Bridge & Xander:

It should be leather, but I figured I'd save that for your anniversary.

Kerrigan left them a futuristic-looking, easily concealable handgun. It was gift-wrapped in cheery red-and-yellow paper.

She had her own ideas about what constituted a useful gift. A card reading For emergencies wound up attached to the (equally gift-wrapped) bullet cartridge.
