Echolls Estate [Saturday Evening]

The ballroom of the mansion is done up in the same mostly-green colour scheme as the wedding ceremony. There's no assigned seating- unless you're in the wedding party, and then you're at the head table (unless you felt like moving around, of course, because gluing people to their seats was not part of the plan)- just several small tables around the room. Off to the side there's also a table meant for wedding gifts. There is, of course, plenty of food and drink, including the most important food-item of them all: the cake Piper had crafted exactly to Xander and Bridge's specifications.

"If I know Marty at all, I don't doubt that there *will* be a real one, eventually," Bridge replies. "So I don't think there's anything wrong with planning a little in advance."

Xander nodded. "Remember when Bridge and Z got kidnapped, right when I got back to Fandom?"

"Awesome," Veronica grinned. "How is life in LA?"

Anders smacked him in the shoulder. "I already do that, dork."

Xander might be a little quieter than usual, but that didn't mean he wasn't sporting the loudest grin ever. "Thanks, dude. ...I am still allowed to say dude, right? My copy of the Grown Up Married People Handbook seems to have gotten lost in the mail."

"Yeah, but not at the same time," Bel pointed out.

It had been a while, but Isabel had a vague memory of it. "Vaguely. Why?"

He wasn't the only one.

"Not until Vancouver," Anders said, scowling. "Which I really want to go to but I can barely afford bus fare right now."

"It think so it's..." he paused, catching himself. "I'm not going to spend the entire evening babbling about my car at you."

Anders stuck his tongue out. "At the same time as what?"

"I'm just glad you're talking to me," Veronica said.

She immediately realized that it probably wasn't the best thing to say. "I'm sorry, that was inappropriate."

"He's an athlete, he can take it," Bridge says in a mock-dismissive tone.

"I like to think so," Bridge agrees, resisting the urge to actually bounce in place.

Chris is impressed by his restraint in bouncing. "You guys have a honeymoon planned?"

Willow dropped off a couple of gifts.

Though there was one specifically marked for Xander, with a note that said I think you've finally earned one. ~~And naturally assume the meta-change in name. Ahem.~~

"Okay," Angel said. "Neptune?"

"I'd hope so. It'd be pretty lame and I don't think a lot of people would marry if you couldn't," Cameron replied. His response was possibly sponsored by the few glasses he'd had by now.

Angel gave him a Look.

"And I might even say yes, if there was a real one," Angela allowed. "So what are you doing after the wedding?" She paused. "Other than the -- you know."

"Could get a job?" Angel suggested. Not that he had any idea what Anders' circumstances were.

Bel leaned in to Anders and growled in his ear. "At the same time as I have you in the bedroom, bent over the bed."

"Could be better," Veronica said. "Having some problems with our apartment complex."

"What kind?" Angel asked.

He shook his head as he glanced down at his hands for a moment. "No, not really. I get it."

Xander was willing to get as far from Bridge as 'down the table.' Maybe. He nodded and moved down to grab an empty seat for a moment. "We're good. Monster attack." It was more complicated than that, of course, but not untrue.
