Echolls Estate [Saturday Evening]

The ballroom of the mansion is done up in the same mostly-green colour scheme as the wedding ceremony. There's no assigned seating- unless you're in the wedding party, and then you're at the head table (unless you felt like moving around, of course, because gluing people to their seats was not part of the plan)- just several small tables around the room. Off to the side there's also a table meant for wedding gifts. There is, of course, plenty of food and drink, including the most important food-item of them all: the cake Piper had crafted exactly to Xander and Bridge's specifications.

Parker had already kicked off her shoes, and was happily toasting with champagne. "To the grooms!"

Parker headed for the dance floor after only a little while, twisting and turning, and kept an eye out for River or anyone else who liked to dance.

"I can see that," Veronica said. "Of course, I can't even imagine settling down at this age. Or, you know, ever."

He thought that maybe he had at one point, but that was in another lifetime where he felt less of a stranger with most people in the room right now. "Yeah, but then who would have thought you'd work for the FBI?" he teased.

As Ronan approached Parker, he hesitated for just a moment, eying her carefully. "Okay," he said, as he stepped close enough to speak softly and still be heard. "What -- or who -- have you been doing? You have that look about you."

"Craigslist, Monster, Career Builder, all those places," and yes, Anders actually ticked them off on his fingers. "Haven't gotten any calls except from places with a way worse commute than I can handle if I'm juggling school and a job. I mean, I could get Bel to shimmer me, I guess, but we'd have to coordinate schedules and I don't wanna be the super-dependent guy."
