Echolls Estate [Saturday Evening]

The ballroom of the mansion is done up in the same mostly-green colour scheme as the wedding ceremony. There's no assigned seating- unless you're in the wedding party, and then you're at the head table (unless you felt like moving around, of course, because gluing people to their seats was not part of the plan)- just several small tables around the room. Off to the side there's also a table meant for wedding gifts. There is, of course, plenty of food and drink, including the most important food-item of them all: the cake Piper had crafted exactly to Xander and Bridge's specifications.

"My shorts wouldn't fit you anyway."

"Dork," Bridge says fondly. "Dork who I'm married to."

"Oh, like that narrows it down."

"It does *so*," Bridge insists. "Even though there may be multiple yous out there. There's only one you with a ring and a name to match mine, and that makes you *my* dork."

"I'm definitely the only dork with your name tattooed on his ass."

"Well, actually..."

"Is there something I need to know?"

"Maybe?" Bridge says, in his very best innocent tone.

"Is there somebody I need to kill?" He sounds concerned. really.

"Well, I'm just sayin'. Lots of people like bridges."

"I suspect you may be less than completely serious with this line of conversation."

"I suspect you might be right," Bridge admits.

"In case I haven't mentioned it today, I'm kinda in love with you."

"Well, not in those exact words, but I kind of got that impression, yeah."

"I'm kinda in love with you. Now it's in those exact words."

"I'm kinda in love with you too," Bridge says. "And when I say 'kinda' what I actually really mean is 'ridiculously and hopelessly', so do with that what you will."

"I'm thinking 'take shameless advantage works as a plan.'"

"Have *I* mentioned that I like the way you think?"

"Not toda-- no, wait, there was that thing with the cake. And the feeding instead of face-smooshing."

"It really was a good idea," Bridge says. "Because, I mean. Some traditions are nice. But when they involve perfectly good cake being used for purposes other than eating, well. That's the kind of tradition that should be broken."

"Or saved for places where we can combine eating and not-eating uses for cake without getting arrested or having to explain those particular wedding pictures to your parents."
