Echolls Estate [Saturday Evening]

The ballroom of the mansion is done up in the same mostly-green colour scheme as the wedding ceremony. There's no assigned seating- unless you're in the wedding party, and then you're at the head table (unless you felt like moving around, of course, because gluing people to their seats was not part of the plan)- just several small tables around the room. Off to the side there's also a table meant for wedding gifts. There is, of course, plenty of food and drink, including the most important food-item of them all: the cake Piper had crafted exactly to Xander and Bridge's specifications.

Bridge can't resist a slight snicker at the "legal" comment. "Across multiple Californias even."

There had been a lot of marriage license applications. What? They wanted to make sure their bases were covered!

Dawn cracked up. "Good luck finding Sunnydale town hall."

"Newtech City won't even exist till next year," Bridge adds. "So kind of the opposite problem, there."

"Where are you going to live? Do you know yet?" Which was kind of Dawn-ese for when would she be able to visit and did they have e-mail, but he'd probably figure that out.

"The Newtech City that *does* exist, about fifteen years from now," Bridge says. "...Probably on the base, at least at first. There's kind of this um, thing. Going on."

"Thing?" She eyed him.

"A war-type-thing," Bridge clarifies.

Dawn frowned. "Getting yourselves dead is against the rules."

"There will be no getting dead if we've got anything to say about it," Bridge promises.

"Good," she nodded, then leaned over to kiss him on the cheek. "Mazel tov, and all that jazz."
