Echolls Estate [Saturday Evening]

The ballroom of the mansion is done up in the same mostly-green colour scheme as the wedding ceremony. There's no assigned seating- unless you're in the wedding party, and then you're at the head table (unless you felt like moving around, of course, because gluing people to their seats was not part of the plan)- just several small tables around the room. Off to the side there's also a table meant for wedding gifts. There is, of course, plenty of food and drink, including the most important food-item of them all: the cake Piper had crafted exactly to Xander and Bridge's specifications.

"That was one rescue party I wasn't on, so I missed those details," she told him. "But it's Fandom. It's not entirely unexpected. Let me guess, she came back?"

"Yeah, I remember. I just thought you might have seen Disturbingly Named Creepy Doll in Parker's room." Xander nodded. "She decided if she couldn't have her doll, we couldn't have... a wedding, I guess. And she brought her pet monster to try to pull that off."

"Oh for Pete's sake," Isabel grumbled, feeling a sudden urge to throw one of Parker's spare shoes. "Since there was a wedding I take it you told her to stuff it?"

"I hit it with a chair and Bridge put it in tiny card jail." Xander was oddly proud of the working together part. Oddly because not like they'd never done that before, but this was different.

"A tiny jail card? Remind me never to let Bridge supply the cards for poker night," she sighed. "But go you guys. I'd yell at you for not calling in more back-up but it sounds like you both had it under control."

Well, it hadn't exactly been a monster at the point when he should have been calling for backup. Or at least it hadn't looked like one. "I would've," he answered, and it might eventually have been true. "But it kind of got thrown at me. Didn't have the chance."

"I guess between your time in Fandom and your time in Sunnydale you were prepared to handle it. Which is a good thing. It kept the wedding on schedule. That was important." She was mostly kidding. "I'm just really happy for you guys."
