Echolls Estate [Saturday Evening]

The ballroom of the mansion is done up in the same mostly-green colour scheme as the wedding ceremony. There's no assigned seating- unless you're in the wedding party, and then you're at the head table (unless you felt like moving around, of course, because gluing people to their seats was not part of the plan)- just several small tables around the room. Off to the side there's also a table meant for wedding gifts. There is, of course, plenty of food and drink, including the most important food-item of them all: the cake Piper had crafted exactly to Xander and Bridge's specifications.

Anders stopped on his latest round of the reception when he saw her. "Hey, you. Long time no see."

"Anders!" She got up to hug him hello. "I see you were very busy today. How're things?"

"Things are great," said Anders, who may have been glossing over details quite a bit but was certainly not hesitant to give her a hug. "I'm kinda beat, but hey. How've you been?"

Sam shrugged. "Busy in my garage, mostly, but Cameron makes me come out and have a meal and see the bright orb in the sky occasionally."

"In that case I'll have to thank him for making sure you continue to exist," Anders decided. "It's been way too long since I've seen you."

"I'll pass that along," she promised. "And yeah, it has. You made it through okay, though?"

"Pretty much unscathed," agreed Anders. "Well, aside from figuring out how to pay back the CPL for the signing bonus, now that I pretty much broke my contract."

He managed a chuckle. "Other than that, though. You look like you're doing pretty well."

"You're not going back to Caprica, then?" She asked. "Thanks. It's amazing what not living with just a cat can do."

He shook his head. "Been living right here since I left. I may go back someday, but right now I want to enjoy it here. May never get another chance."

"People are important, yes." She grinned. "If Fandom taught us nothing else..."
