Echolls Estate [Saturday Evening]

The ballroom of the mansion is done up in the same mostly-green colour scheme as the wedding ceremony. There's no assigned seating- unless you're in the wedding party, and then you're at the head table (unless you felt like moving around, of course, because gluing people to their seats was not part of the plan)- just several small tables around the room. Off to the side there's also a table meant for wedding gifts. There is, of course, plenty of food and drink, including the most important food-item of them all: the cake Piper had crafted exactly to Xander and Bridge's specifications.

"It took me way too long to think about that," Anakin bitched, finishing off his glass. "He's been laughing his incorporeal blue ass off at me, I'm sure of it."

"How's it going otherwise?" Angel asked.

Anakin signaled for another drink. "I've had better Augusts," he admitted.

"Two of my grandsons died," he said softly. "Different universe. Still hurts."

"I'm sorry," Angel said, and meant it. Different universes wouldn't have made a difference to him either.
